Double Branch Project Anticipated to Deliver Jobs to Pasco County

development

A groundbreaking event took place on Thursday for the Double Branch mixed-use development located in San Antonio. Once completed, this 956-acre site, situated near the junction of State Road 52 and I-75, is expected to create 6,000 jobs for the county and generate a long-term economic impact of $600 million.

Formerly known as Pasco Town Center, Double Branch is ready to include 400,000 square feet of retail space, 725,000 square feet of office space, and a significant four million square feet dedicated to industrial development.

Mike Bishop, Director of Stakeholder Engagement for Pasco EDC explains, “About 400,000 of that will be speculative space, which will not be just to recruit businesses here to Pasco, but we have a lot of businesses in Pasco that are looking to expand and need space here to do so.”

According to the council, Pasco commissioners granted $55.8 million in incentives for the development last year, and it’s projected that for every $1 contributed by the county, Double Branch will generate a remarkable $100 in return.

The entire project is anticipated to require 10 to 15 years for completion.
